Companies That Only Hire Telecommuters
CNN.com recently ran a piece on companies that only hire telecommuters. In light of everything that’s been going on in the economic world, the timing of this piece couldn’t be more perfect. Bank of America expects to layoff 35,000 employees in the future; and if the automotive bailout plan falls through, we can only guess the number of people who’ll lose their jobs.
I’ve discussed how a lay off is the perfect time to start a freelance business. But if truth be told: it can take several months to match or exceed your previous income, and some newbies throw in the towel before they’re able to earn a real living. But if you’ve every considered “doing your own thing” a part-time (or full-time) gig with a company that hires telecommuters and can help keep your head above water - at least until your home based business gets off the ground.
I don’t know how much these companies pay, but a flexible telecommute position is an option for people who want to start their own business, but need immediate income to meet their financial obligations.
