If you rely only on job postings it does appear that way. But if you are contacting companies directly (marketing your services) you can get jobs that are never advertised. I did a minimal marketing campaign last week and got a new Canadian client. Most of my recent clients did not advertise openings. But I do agree that writers have to stand out and egt prospects to see the value in hiring them.
