My friend told me about her version of a "goal book" from that Queen Latifah movie, so I created one of my own.

In addition to my lists that I have for just about everything, I have a word doc with my goals for different aspects in my life. It has pictures, descriptions, etc. It's quite fun to look at and I will probably print it out one day.

@Amy: After reading your comment, I turned the question on myself (where do I want to be in five years?) And similarly, I didn't have an immediate answer. I try to accomplish my long term goals within a year. So, I never thought that far into the future. This gives me a lot to think about.

Valencia, I was so excited to see this post in my feed reader today! Just yesterday I went to lunch with a fellow writer and blogger (Karen from deafmomworld.com), and we were talking about goals. I love that you have a goals document posted. I think writing them down really helps us know what they are -- which sounds silly, but there are so many things we just don't know until we sit down and think about them to write them down. Karen asked me yesterday where I wanted my blog to be in five years, and I didn't know the answer. So last night I wrote about it in my journal, brainstormed a little, and came up with some goals for my blog, just as I have goals for my freelance writing business.

Great post! I love it!
